My quilting guild, Nimble Thimblers, has just completed our 2011 charity quilt project. This year we selected Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. We completed 32 Boston team-related tee-shirt quilts and donated them to the non-profit organization, Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. In the photo is the founder and president of WUIS, Inc., Kate McCullough, holding my “Yoooouuuuk!” quilt. Kate was kind enough to visit us at our meeting, tell us a little about her organization, about the recipient of our quilts, Hospitality Homes, and to pick up the quilts. This project was near and dear to my heart having attended WUIS annual quilt-a-thon last winter. Making quilts at the EMC Club in Fenway Park? Are you kidding? You do not have to ask me twice!
